My best season was the undefeated winter at Oakie but the funnest ..... was when Ronster Myself and Frankauser finished 1 , 2 ,3 every race in Yamaha light one winter, and every race was a dog fight to be sure. I dont remember the win totals for each of us but we all won more than once and Ronnie won the championship if i remember right. Nobody else came in 1st 2nd or 3rd that winter but one of us , cant recall who was 4th . It was awsome

That Rainier race was so fun. I just stayed in the back got to see the whole thing. The racing up front was so good that I slowed down to let the leaders go by. That way I could get a better look #9 and #3. But the best season ever is the next one. Can't wait to put the GREEN GIANT in the ICE WALL and pass #9 on the inside on the last lap.

Back in the day the easiest way to pass Ronnie was when he didn't finish. Between the 2 of us we won 14 outlaw Pro races in a row. (I won the 2 that he didn't finish) would pay for the hotel room in Fife. Good times. Now It seems amazing that our junk didn't get stolen.
Another fun tradition was new years day at Clark Co. The ferry to Astoria the "slappin moon nationals at Tri cities.
My favorite drive? Bolting the Dino on a twisted piece of Junk Margay and winning at Oakwood I had sold My Buller Aero +2 and still had the Dino. Ronnie broke and decided to run the main in Rod Fauver's buller. He came and asked me what to do setup wise. I looked at the kart, and decided that the castor and spindle heights looked good so I said "Put 8 pounds of air in all the tires and drive it like you don't have a penny in it. He

LOL...Darrin it is amazing no-one ever stole our stuff! I remember all them outlaw races at oakwood back in the early 90's. Had to win otherwise we didnt have any gas money to get home??? Remember to bring a sandwich and a can of pop cause i couldnt afford to buy any food. Just had the $25 to sign up and that was it! Spent alot of nights down there in the dark and cold thrashing!

I remember the first time i had the chance to beat Ronnie, $500 at to win Yamaha at oakwood. I sat on the pole for the main. Art told the hole field if you jump the start you get one warning, then next time both will go to the back. so anyways i guess the guy on the out side pole didn't here this, he jumped the start as we were going into turn three, 3 times in a row.......frount row to the back!!!! man i was so bummed....

Passing Dix in the grass at Portland for the win is one of mine. It was my first time in a flattie and they figured they owned me. Full contact kart racing is what we practiced that season. I fuond out years later they were giving me bad info on gears so they could beat me........Good times!

It is hard to pick one season. Racing Nick at JPS in superstock was awsome. Raiding Pats Acres with Ron, Darrin and Joe was a hoot till Ronnie had to break himself.;o Getting lectured at the holiday classic on clean driving and Darrin putting the wrenches to the kart was awsome. Hanging out with Russ and Donna and making stuff happen. No matter where we were is a memory I will have forever. Freezing my ass off in the dark putting in the track at oakwood with Joe....too many times. Only to have Ron tell me we need more water when he came strolling in....... Some of the best times of my life has been spent with you guy's

Art i always tried to tell you and Joe .....All them years you were just wasting your time watering the track at night.....cause i just came in the morning and did it again anyways!!! For the record....the track always needs more water!!! As soon as you can go around the track with a Jet Ski....thats enuff!

IN my list of favrotie races of all time had to be Art and I's first 1 -2 finish. It was at JPS We passed each other atleast 5 times We both could see Joel pick up the black flag and start leaning out over that tower , but he ate it . Pretty sure Jamie was on the radio telling him to . Art won that race and we had a blast as we came off the track people were clapping at the scales ... IT was incredible feeling knowing we put on a good show. And amen Art some of best memories in this life are with this crowd for sure
