so i post on the cka site my opinion about cka staying out of the new tracks politics, so that we have a non-club venue to race at without all the club b.s..........oh no thats not allowed!!! DELETE!! so i guess the controling nazis can skew around the issues that cka has.......and go fuck up the new track, and that will certianly happen if cka is allowed to even to be involved in the running of the new track...that to me is a big big mistake.......i could be all wrong but cka's past record in administrative control is not very good........... this could be a new start of outdoor racing next year without club involvement ....a private track like jps......we haven't had a private track since jps closed, it's high time we had one........
am i alone here with this thinking? if so tell me and i'll go away.

i case i get deleted again .......i'll copy my cka post here too....
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------- i tried to state it as not hostile .....it was an outside observation with concern ........ history of cka of the recent past is of concern to me. when we had a private track at jps counts were really good......club stuff has been sketchy is the past few seasons and i did not want to see the new track be incorporated into "the club" we need a new or different direction for outdoor karting and i think with this chance to let someone else do the events besides cka would maybe a good thing.....i understand giving direction and structure for the track owners......it is needed to let him understand our needs........ but i hope that cka minds it's own p's and q's and let this new track be free of the drama cka brings to the table... i did not slam anyone ..... good bad or otherwise you people at cka should try not to delete valueable or non valueable opinions of the racers. cka's count is horrible and everything you try fails......maybe cka should rethink it's way of doing business? and one way would to not stick cka's name on the new track........
delete if you wish ...but it will be on the cba site ......this is a plea for cka to re think its thinking...... why do you think the cba site was formed? because we need a place to chat about karting w/o deleation.....
thats the way i and a bunch of karters feel... but cka turns a deaf ear to true feelings of the old gaurd.......

Dix there time is slowly ticking away. They had a count of 12 last race and half were quater midgets. Given em time they'll shortly be outta money and then be outta mind. If those of us that kart for fun stick together the new track will be an private track before to long.

Well i see the first problem with what you did #3...
( so i post on the " the other club " site my opinion )
LMAO! There in lies the problem! Thats why myself and many others quit! I dont even read crap on there anymore! The "new group" doesnt understand or see whats happening! plain and simple! It is really a sad state of affairs! Just delete your acct and stay over on this side of the fence cause it really is greener! I checked! Ever heard the story about the wolves and the sheep? LOL
Thus why we have this forum! Now pipe down or i will delete your ass! lol

I sure hope that cba minds it's own p's and q's and let this new track be free of all the drama cba is trying to brings to the table!!!

If im not mistaken has he not raced with the other club for the past three races and been racing CBA events. He aint smart enough to know he is helping our cause and hurting his.

Can I ask a stupid question (I'm in management - it's what I do!)? What are the benefits of a club or association, at least as it pertains to grass-roots racing? Is it a means to provide consistency, structure and unity, or just a training ground for junior politicians (please note sarcasm)?
The reason I ask is that from a cage kart perspective, in all the years I have been involved in this end of the sport, I have only been part of a club once - the NSKC at SlymeDog. Otherwise, you show up at a track , pay your pit fees and kart entry, and race, as a promoter runs the program and handles all the logistics. This can present a different set of problems, of course, but life seems so much simpler this way.
Is it possible for a dedicated, honest, motivated and personable individual(s) to help define the future of kart racing in WA state, without titles, politics or drama (no, I'm not volunteering)? I only know of this situation through the message boards, as I am not a CKA or CBA member, but I like the tone and attitude of the CBA as I understand it. If I can tag along with my cage kart and help generate interest in OUR sport, get some seat time, and have fun along the way, it's worth every penny and every minute of time. And I know outsiders and the curious can see the general demeanor of the participants, which will either draw them in or drive them away.
Just my 2 cents....
