I tried a couple years ago to get some races at McMinville's 1/5th mile asphalt oval. We did 3 test and tune days, think we had 12 karts tops. Ken and Karl made the trip with their wild ass clone to set the track record.
Asphalt oval in a kart requires that your 16 or younger or mount a Kirkey seat cause the G's are killer for us old guys.

Roger..Thanks to you, we had a blast on that track.. I could only imagine what it would be like with a big motor.. Karl said his neck was sore for days afterwards... If the chance comes up again.. let me know..

HAHA!! Come on now Roger....not every old guy needs help like that!! Heck we ran Wenatchee in the KT karts right after it was paved in 2000...about 14 of us. Laydown seat as low as you could get it and hang on!!!!! Lift? NOT!!!!

Renee, I just need to do neck exercises. Drove my shifter around the track in the late 90's when I was 40 something, did 11 laps and couldn't standup straight for a week...lol Ken: What was the fast time for that day, can't remember? Think Karl set it or was it Ari in that $1.00 race. Below is the only video of that test and tune, Robert Venner with his 500 cage, watch from 3:15, he burned that RR down to the cords. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ojz4Uw9ATWk
