Hi Everyone! What a beautiful few days that we have had! Hopefully we carry this on into the weekend! I have some very important news for everyone regarding Racing at D and W's Rainier Flat Track.
1.) There will be another Open Practice on Friday Night before our Saturday Race from 5-9 PM. It is $25 per rider.
2.) Drinking was a huge problem at the Season Opener. A very large Sponsor of these events and the sportsman club both complained about the amount of drinking in the pits and grandstands. This is a FAMILY FRIENDLY event! You are more than welcome to enjoy alcohol after the races are over, but there is NO DRINKING DURING RACING HOURS! We are at the risk of losing a sponsor, and liability issues if this continues. There will be no tolerance for alcohol any longer! Please be understanding. This is an issue that just one person has the power of ruining something good for everybody else! Danny will be talking more about this at the riders meeting on Saturday. Please make this an easy transition and leave the beer or alcohol in the cooler until the races are over. Thank you!
3.) No vehicles will be allowed in the pits unless they are hauling a racing bike, quad, or kart. We had such an amazing turnout, and there was not enough pitting for all of the racers, due to the extra cars. So starting this weekend, no extra cars in the pits! Thank you for your understanding!
4.) We have a problem, but a good one! We have had such an amazing out pour of support and entries, that it is hard to fit everything in in a timely matter. It is extremely important that you signup on time! Sign-up closes at 3:30PM. If you are late, you will start your heat on the 2nd row. You get 2 practices per bike. You must listen to the guys running the practice line. If you are caught going out more than your 2 times, then you will start your heat from the 2nd row. You must be sure to be ready in staging for your race. We do not have time to wait for you. There are no practice starts or burnouts. If you do one, then you will start from the 2nd row. That may seem like a lot of rules, but this will allow the program to run as smoothly and as fast as possible!
Racing Info for Saturday!
Do not forget your green bands! Those are your ticket in to the puts for free! You will still need to check in at sign-up to get a new practice sticker, sign the minor release for your child, and confirm you are still riding the same classes.
Gates Open: 12:00 PM
Sign-Up: 12:30-3:30 PM
Practice: 2:00-4:30 PM
Racing: 5:00 PM
Pro Class: $35
First Class: $25
Second Class: $20
Third Class and After: $20
Pit Pass: $10
We are looking forward to a great day of practice and Racing on May 19th! If you have any questions about anything, please be sure to send me an email and let me know! We appreciate your cooperation in making everything run well, and following the rules put in place to keep the races a fun and family friendly atmosphere! Thanks again to everyone for their continued support! It is going to be a great Season of Racing!!
I hope to see you all on Saturday!
